MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A man from Philadelphia has been sentenced to over 15 years in federal prison for running a drug trafficking operation in North Central West Virginia.
Rodney Johnson, 48, will serve 188 months, equivalent to 15 years and five months, in prison after being convicted for leading a drug network in the region, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The trafficking ring, under Johnson’s leadership, distributed large quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine throughout North Central West Virginia.
Authorities reported that Johnson recruited individuals to help distribute the drugs in Morgantown, compensating them with a salary to transport and sell the illegal substances. He provided a steady supply of these dangerous drugs for the operation.
