WEST VIRGINIA — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for parts of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, with sub-freezing temperatures expected to settle in during the overnight hours through Wednesday morning.
Forecasters predict temperatures could dip as low as 21 degrees, creating potentially damaging conditions for crops, plants, and other sensitive vegetation. The warning remains in effect from late Tuesday night into the early hours of Wednesday.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to take precautions to protect plants and outdoor water systems from freezing temperatures. This late-season cold snap poses a particular risk to budding vegetation that may have begun to emerge during recent warmer weather.
