MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia State Police (WVSP) has joined forces with the Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the FBI to establish a specialized task force focused on addressing violent crime and unsolved cases across the state.
The newly formed Violent Crime Task Force (VCTF) aims to identify, investigate, and prosecute individuals responsible for serious offenses that remain unresolved. Officials cited the growing number of unsolved cases in West Virginia as the driving force behind the task force’s creation.
